• To ensure that the bank is sending the proper annual tax certifications and income statements to its customers, a reference implementation has been applied.
• The calculated values of a COBOL application are compared almost fully automatically with the expected results from the reference implementation.
• The rules for determining the debit result have been stored into an Excel worksheet, whose form is transparent for the specialist department.
• It has been directly applied for the determination of the reference results.The determined variations could be edited for the analysts in a way, which uncovered at revenue level, which rules had been violated and therefore caused an incorrect result.
