FINARIS is a Frankfurt-based IT consulting firm for the European financial industry and manufacturer of the RapidRep software suites. RapidRep significantly simplifies and improves the quality assurance of the back-end with innovative approaches, and reduces costs sustainably.

The IT services mainly include process analyzes, business-specific/technical conceptions, the implementation of individual and extension of standard software, project management as well as automation projects, especially in the areas of software testing and data quality.

The basis of FINARIS' success lies in the interdisciplinary pooling of wide-ranging financial know-how with IT competence and creativity as well as groundbreaking innovative strength, which is reflected in our RapidRep products.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for you as a IT consultant ETL / databases / big data for the financial sector (m/f/x).

Your tasks

  • In interdisciplinary teams you work on solutions for leading banks, investment companies, insurance companies and other financial service providers.
  • You carry out the technical implementation of data processing in the back-end. You use ETL tools (such as Informatica), database techniques, or big data techniques (such as SPARK).
  • Already in the conception phase, you bring in your technical expertise in order to design optimum solutions for the customer.
  • You create and extend data models and data mappings.
  • You optimize the performance of runtime-critical ETL processes for very large amounts of data.
  • You analyse the data also in very large databases. To do so, you use SQL and advanced analytics tools for databases and big data environments and you compile your results into meaningful reports.
  • You assist in creating test automation solutions for ETL links and other back-end data processing.
  • In addition, you implement processes for monitoring data quality and implement them.
  • You approach the employees of the project customer in order to obtain the necessary information and can convincingly present your solution proposals.

Your profile

  • University degree (Informatics, business informatics, business administration) or adequate professional experience
  • Very good knowledge of databases and several years of practice in at least one relevant RDBMS (Oracle, MS-SQL Server, DB2, ...) including performance optimization and basic administration activities
  • Very good knowledge of at least one known ETL tool (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, BusinessObjects Data Integrator, ...)
  • In the field of big data at least developable basic knowledge is expected and the willingness to expand it
  • Programming knowledge in at least one higher-level programming language (Java, C #, ..), in shell scripting and in SQL programming (SQL in all facets and manufacturer-specific extensions such as PL / SQL, T-SQL)
  • Knowledge of the software development process from requirement analysis through design and implementation to testing and acceptance
  • The willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics and deal with new methods and tools
  • Very good knowledge of German and English in speech and writing
  • Team spirit, creativity and pleasure in sharing your knowledge
  • Partial willingness to travel
