FINARIS is a Frankfurt-based IT consulting firm for the European financial industry and manufacturer of the RapidRep software suites. RapidRep significantly simplifies and improves the quality assurance of the back-end with innovative approaches, and reduces costs sustainably.

The IT services mainly include process analyzes, business-specific/technical conceptions, the implementation of individual and extension of standard software, project management as well as automation projects, especially in the areas of software testing and data quality.

The basis of FINARIS' success lies in the interdisciplinary pooling of wide-ranging financial know-how with IT competence and creativity as well as groundbreaking innovative strength, which is reflected in our RapidRep products.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for you as a creative junior software consultant for database and big data projects (m/f/x).

Your tasks

  • In a team of experienced consultants you directly take on diverse and exciting tasks in projects primarily in the financial environment and are systematically introduced to the consulting world by coaching.
  • You implement functionality in higher-level programming languages ​​(such as Java or C #) and are already collaborating on the application architecture and GUI design, expanding your knowledge and skills in this area.
  • Databases play a major role in our environment, so that you can contribute, expand and deepen the knowledge you gained in your education in customer projects.
  • You develop complex SQL queries, model data models, define access layers and implement functionalities in relational and big data databases (stored procedures, triggers, SPARK programs, ...).
  • You assist in creating state-of-the-art back-end test automation and thus get to know the possibilities of our powerful RapidRep suites for back-end quality assurance.
  • In requirements analyses, you get in contact with specialist and business departments and thus also learn the "language" of the financial world.
  • Prior to the application design, there is the analysis of data and existing systems that you will support and thereby gain extensive knowledge of existing customer infrastructures.

Your profile

  • Good university degree (informatics, business informatics, industrial engineering or equivalent)
  • Desirable: First professional experience, e.g. through internships or a corresponding post-graduate activity
  • Good knowledge of OO design, UML, design pattern and software life-cycle
  • Database and SQL knowledge
  • Secure mastery of at least one object-oriented programming language
  • Strong interest in financial topics
  • Very good knowledge of German and good command of spoken and written English
  • Independent and self-responsible working and confident, professional appearance
  • Team spirit, creativity and pleasure in getting to know new technologies and gaining financial know-how
  • Willingness to travel
